Intimacy, I think is why we were created and what most of us are searching for. True freedom comes from knowing that you are loved. If we could accept and believe that we are unconditionally loved and embraced we could live life and whatever it presents to us.
Freedom is the core of the spiritual life. When you are free you can love unpossessively and isn’t that a relief? I believe that all of us try to make sense of our lives by telling stories. Do you have someone you can tell your stories to? I’m not one who puts much credence in New Year’s resolutions, yet I am drawn to the exhortation to share our stories in 2014. Just to even begin to step on the journey toward freedom. I invite you to join me.
