Minutes of Meeting after Church March 16, 2025

Present:  Pastor Pam Meese, Larry Coutes, Sherry Coutes, Mike MacDonald, Janice Nations, Sam Nations, Ed Ord, Rooe Simpson, Barb White, Bill White, Dave Wilson, Sonya Wilson

Matters Arising.
  Audit.  Barb reported that both pending audits are complete.
  Circuit Preacher.  Reminder about new policy for payment of $100 for service & expenses.
  Pastor Parish Relations.  Sam tapped for membership.

Bookkeeper.  At its February meeting, Council responded positively to the concept of contracting for bookkeeping services.  Mike and Rooe reported on their efforts, and Pastor & the Nations had additional input.  Mike and Rooe were charged to continue efforts.

Leadership Change.  Leadership changes confirmed.
	Barb White -> Worship
	Rooe Simpson -> PPR, Acting Treasurer
	Dave Wilson -> Lay Leader
	Mike MacDonald -> Trustees
Notice will be given for very short meeting April 6 for official confirmation. 

Library EV Charging Station.  The City has grant for EV chargers and has requested use of small portion of yard to adjust golf car path.  Lengthy discussion ended with passed motion to offer lease on term of 10-99 years.  Annual rent suggested at $1.

Respite Care Project.  Janice and Sam are in discussion with the Respite for All Foundation, and the Nations and Pastor envision OSUMC involvement.  Council was supportive of service to care givers.  The Church would house the cared for a few hours to give care givers some time off.  (cf. www.respiteforall.org)
